Submission of Initial Paper

• All teams shall submit their initial paper in accordance with the provided submission template. The organizers will provide assistance to the teams regarding the submission process and will screen the preliminary submissions based on the criteria outlined in the primer.

• The preliminary papers will be submitted to the organizing committee for review.

Submission Process

• Save the initial version of the case study in PDF format and name it “SDGCaseStudy_GroupNumber” (e.g. SDGCaseStudy_3).Submit your paper to: https://bit.ly/EduAksyon-SubmissionForm. The organizers will confirm the receipt of the paper shortly after the submission.

• Case submissions will end on June 30, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Submissions beyond the set date and time will not be accepted.Only teams who completed the requirements are eligible to have their case reviewed for the Case Competition. Teams with incomplete requirements will not be accepted. Additional media attached to the submission will not be considered.

Announcement of the Final 5 Teams

• The top five (5) teams that will proceed to the final round will be publicly announced. Then, they will be added to a private Facebook group wherein important reminders and updates regarding the case competition will be disseminated.

July 3, 2023 to July 8, 2023
Mentoring Period

• The five (5) teams that have advanced to the final round will be provided with a list of available mentors to choose from. Furthermore, the bio-notes and field of expertise of the mentors will also be provided.

• The teams may choose their preferred mentor on a first-come, first-serve basis.

• The organizers will facilitate a formal introduction between the mentors and the teams. All mentorship sessions will be held online.The teams may contact their assigned mentors in the given timeframe, July 3, 2023 to July 8, 2023, to seek feedback and guidance in revising their case study proposal.​

July 10, 2023 (DAY 2 of Case Competition)
12:00 PM - 3:30 PM

• The final round of the case competition will consist of a total of five (5) teams and will be held face-to-face. Please be reminded that the organizers will not cover the transportation fee for finals. Participants are required to make their own arrangements and provide for their personal expenses.

• Each team is required to enter and register for the case competition by 11:30 AM.

• The panel of judges will be introduced to the participants.

• Each team will have a total of fifteen (15) minutes to present their final case study. It will be followed by a ten (10) minute question and answer portion. To support their case study proposal, each team must prepare a PowerPoint presentation. Please note that explicit and graphic materials (e.g. sexual and violent themes) are prohibited.

• The top three teams will be recognized as the champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up of the case competition. The winners will be provided with the following prizes:Champion:

  • PHP 8,000 and a Certificate of Recognition 

  • ​First Runner-Up: PHP 4,000  and a Certificate of Recognition 

  • Second Runner-Up: PHP 2,000 and a Certificate of Recognition

All submissions must be written in English.
The use of national symbols, such as headers and flags, is strictly prohibited.
The final version of the position paper must be saved in PDF format.
